About Library

The Sangola College, Sangola was established by Sangola Taluka Uchcha Shikshan Mandal’s in the year 1978. Initially the college was being run in Sangola Taluka Vidya Mandir High School and Junior College. The Library occupied a small classroom in the beginning and later in 1991, whole college was shifted to huge multi store college building. The college library, which is a source of knowledge, is an integral and important part of our institute of higher learning. The Library aims to stock all the books and periodicals which the students and faculty members are required to read and grow through literature power. Basically any library acts as a backbone of an institute provide the user all the needy documents either in print or non-print media.

The library has been well equipped with Internet Resource Centre. Separate reading room for faculty members and as well as for boys and girls. Library having 50862 books, 75 journals / periodicals / magazines and 14 newspapers. Library is using ‘Library Management Software’ so called ‘LIB-MAN’. Whole library collection is barcoded. Library circulation and routine work is done fully with the help of Library Management Software. Library is regular register member of ‘INFLIBNET-NLIST’. Under this e-resources are available through N-LIST Programme. Our college is registered member of National Digital Library of India.

Welcome to the Sangola College Library. Our college is multi-faculty college and so is our library. We try to satisfy information needs of library users at the maximum level. We are giving technology based facilities and services such as Internet facility, Web-OPAC, Reference service through online e-books & e-journals, information literacy programme, online book issue return etc. At the same time we also provide traditional services such as reference service, reading room facility, institutional membership of other libraries, inter library loan etc. for those who need these services. More than 50862 books including text and reference books. Huge collection of autobiographies and biographies of persons in different fields to promote reading habit among students. Extra books are provided to genuine readers. Separate collection of books for the students preparing for competitive examinations.
